Mercedes-Benz, the German luxury car manufacturer, has announced its plans to double its electric vehicle (EV) offering in India within a year. The move comes as part of the company’s efforts to strengthen its position in the Indian market and to cater to the growing demand for electric cars in the country.
According to Mercedes-Benz India, the company plans to launch four new electric vehicles in India by the end of 2022, which will double its current lineup of two EVs. The new models will include the EQC, EQS, EQE, and EQB.
The EQC, which is already available in India, is an all-electric SUV with a range of over 450 kilometers on a single charge. The other three models are yet to be launched in India and are expected to be available by the end of 2022.

He also said that the company plans to offer a full range of electric vehicles in India in the coming years.
The Indian government has been promoting the adoption of electric vehicles in the country through various incentives and policies, including tax rebates and subsidies. The government has set a target of achieving 30% electric vehicle penetration in the country by 2030.
Mercedes-Benz’s plans to double its EV offering in India within a year is seen as a significant step towards achieving the government’s target and promoting sustainable mobility in the country. The move is also expected to boost the company’s sales and strengthen its position in the Indian market.
